Description
This course covers ADA design requirements specific to theaters, auditoriums and other assembly areas: ticket windows, concession stands, designated aisle seating, wheelchair spaces, companion seating, green room/dressing rooms back stage, assistive listening systems, lawn seating, sports team seating, social stairs and press boxes at stadiums. It also addresses accessibly requirements when alterations are undertaken, accessibility requirements in pre-ADA facilities, and how historic preservation dovetails with the ADA.
